My Favorite Desk Supplies
I’m always on the hunt for beautiful, well-made desk accessories and supplies. It makes such a difference when I surround myself with tools that are super-functional AND beautifully designed and that make me happy to use whenever I need them.
Here’s a round up of some of my favorite supplies that I keep on my desk and use nearly every day!

ELLEPI KLIZIA STAPLER
This stapler makes me smile every time I see it. You can feel the quality of the metal components when you hold it, and the happy design adds fun character to your workspace whether it’s in use or sitting on a shelf. I love the staples it uses which are a little smaller than standard.
UNI JETSTREAM EDGE .38MM
I’m super picky about pens, and this one is my favorite. It’s the only pen I use at my desk for writing notes, lists, and everything else I need to keep track of day-to-day. The ballpoint is extra fine, and it writes smoothly and beautifully.
KRAFT HARDCOVER NOTEBOOKS
I love this set of college ruled notebooks from Occasional Motto. I write on the front and back of every page in pen and the ink doesn’t bleed or show through, and the covers are just beautiful! They’re the perfect size (~5.5x8.5”) and college ruled, and I enjoy being able to use each one for a different subject.
hightide tape dispenser
This little tape dispenser is made from metal, so it’s heavy enough to stay in place without the bulk of plastic dispensers I’ve had in the past. It holds normal clear tape, and if desired can even be mounted to a wall.
susig cork desk pad
Josh and I each have one of these desk pads on our studio desk. They’re a great way to protect a desktop if needed, and I even use them as a photo background sometimes. I also love the natural texture and warmth that cork adds to a room.
wooden pencil/brush cup
We make these wooden pencil/paintbrush cups that are a beautiful way to keep your favorite writing or painting tools at the ready. Each one is handmade by us from wood scraps that are left over from larger art pieces. They also work well as a vase for dried flowers, and are a beautiful way to add warmth from natural materials to your desk space.
old city desk brush
Between eraser crumbs, dust, and paper bits that accumulate from tearing shipping paper, it’s common for surfaces in our studio to need a quick cleaning every few days. This desk brush is super soft and it’s perfect for brushing off desktops or even my laptop or printer. It also looks really beautiful when not in use, I hang it on the wall by the little cord so it’s always close when I need it.
copper wire clips
Binder clips are always useful to have around the studio whether I need to use them to hang up paper on a tack, keep a sketchbook open to a certain page, or even use them as a mini clamp. These copper wire versions do all of the above while looking great. I never feel like I need to hide them away when they’re not in use.
iris tool
I have to include my Iris Tool from Makers Cabinet because it’s not only one of my favorite drawing tools, it’s also a beautiful desk ornament when not in use. I keep it on the little wooden stand (that doubles as a way to find the center of circles!) so it’s always within reach when I need to draw a perfect circle.

retro flip clock
We get so many questions about this clock every time it appears in the background of a photo or video. We’ve had it for about 8 years now and we love it! It has so much character!
*While this clock is pretty quiet, it does make a small sound when the numbers flip down, so it may not be the best choice for a bedroom if you are a light sleeper.
canvas lamp
This lamp is also a tripod! The ring light has an attached phone holder so you can film beautifully lit videos without all the normally required lighting equipment. You can adjust the brightness and temperature of the light, and I often use it even when I’m not filming because it’s the best light source in the studio. Like everything else on this list, it’s just a really beautiful addition to the studio, especially with the wooden base.
Hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my favorite desk accessories and maybe have found something that would be a helpful addition to your desk or studio space. If you have a favorite beautiful item on your desk that isn’t here, mention it in the comments! I always love to learn about new-to-me supplies!
